In 2006, the Australian Federal government produced a set of cards that were designed to show how literacy and numeracy are developed through routine family activities and how this later links to learning in a school environment (for those who do not choose to home school). Each card has a concept associated with it illustrated in a picture on one side and a description on the other.

Due to the reshuffling of Government portfolios we have made an effort to make these available for you to look at and can be downloaded in PDF form using the links below. Where appropriate, relevant activities that relate to these cards are linked each card's concept below also.
